Jinsoo Terry After coming to America from Korea, I began a necessary transformation to totally integrate myself into American culture. Whether it was a fresh start in the way I did business, the type food I ate, or simple communication with others, in order to grow, new processes had to begin. And that was part of my fascination with America. It was a place of new beginnings. People are constantly beginning new endeavors. It basically comes down to self improvement. Make yourself better in every possible way. The best way to get going is simple - BEGIN!

Much of the American culture is about improving things. Just turn on the television and you'll find shows like Extreme Makeover and Pimp My Ride. There's shows about plastic surgery, and weight loss. But change is not only on the television screen, and it's not all about appearances.

Corporate managers attend night classes to get an MBA. Elderly people go to continuing education classes. Some decide to go to medical school at the age of forty! It's never too late! But if you have no aspirations or willingness to put in the time, or even get going on a new project, your goals will never be realized.

You have to take that first step - beginning - to get the ship sailing. It may be a long journey, but ultimately it's worth it. Whether it's visualizing, or writing something down, start today. Get away from your television and realize your potential. There's only one way to make anything happen in your life: BEGIN!
