Success Without Borders
Jinsoo Terry grew up in a Korean culture where women were essentially discouraged to pursue careers in a largely male dominated business culture. Through determination and hard work, Jinsoo earned a Masters Degree in Engineering-Textile Manufacturing and by age 28 was promoted to head Research and Development at one the largest yarn-dyeing companies in Korea. During this period, Jinsoo also pursued a PhD in hopes of becoming one of Korea's top engineers. This was especially remarkable considering that women were strongly discouraged from entering the traditionally male-run business arena.
Following love and a fascination of the free-spiritedness of American society, Jinsoo abandoned the prosperity she had attained in Korea, and landed as an unknown in unfamiliar territory in Berkeley, California. She did not, however, abandon her ambitions.
Forced to accept two entry-level positions, and being continually passed over for promotions, Jinsoo took it upon herself to honor her underlying philosophy in life: "Nothing is impossible. I, Jinsoo Terry, will succeed."
Jinsoo came to the welcome realization that communication and presentation skills were paramount in the American business world. Through a confident and energetic path leading to a greater understanding American business practices, Jinsoo Terry again achieved success at the highest levels. Now, as President and Founder of Advanced Global Connections, LLC (www.agcseminars.com) and heading multiple organizations promoting cross-cultural business integration, Jinsoo is pioneering new methods of working in the international marketplace.
